Frequently asked questions

How do I get an account?

Accounts are created by our team when you join a plan. Choose a plan on the pricing page, confirm payment (card or bank transfer), and we'll send your private login details by secure email or WhatsApp — usually within a few hours.

I received a temporary password. What now?

Go to the login page, enter your username and temporary password, and you'll be asked to create your own password. Temporary passwords expire after 72 hours — if yours has expired, just message us for a new one.

Is SpendWise a financial adviser or accountant?

No. We provide educational budgeting, expense tracking, saving goal planning, and tax organisation tools only. We do not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. For official tax guidance, check GOV.UK/HMRC or speak to a qualified accountant.

Can other people on my family package see my data?

No. Every user in a multi-individual package has their own username, password, and completely private dashboard. Not even the package holder can view another member's budgets, goals, or documents.

What happens when my subscription expires?

Your account switches to “expired” status and access pauses, but your data is kept safely for 12 months so you can pick up where you left off if you renew. We'll remind you before your expiry date — subscriptions never renew or charge you automatically without your confirmation.

How do I delete my data?

Email or WhatsApp us with a deletion request from your registered contact details. We verify your identity, then delete your personal data within 30 days, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Do you calculate my tax for me?

No — and we're honest about that. The tax organisation area stores your documents, checklists, reminders, and notes so tax season is calmer, but all calculations, filings, and deadline confirmations must be done through HMRC or a qualified accountant.
